Meet the Pelican Lakes Golf Pros
Stacy Kleve, PGA Director of Golf
Stacy Kleve has called Pelican Lakes his professional home since 2003 when he first entered the golf business as an assistant pro. Stacy has been the Director of Golf at Pelican Lakes since 2011 and besides managing a staff of 8-10 people during the season, he also provides lessons and club fittings. Stacy is a native of Nebraska and received a business finance Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before moving to Northern Colorado in 1990. Besides golf, Stacy’s other athletic passion is basketball. During the winter months Stacy is a high school basketball official for both boys’ and girls’ games. Stacy makes his home in Windsor with his wife Missy and their two children Burley and Macy.
Jeff Orr, Golf Course Superintendent
Jeff Orr is no stranger to Pelican Lakes. The Golf Course Superintendent has worked at the club since 2003 when he first joined the maintenance staff as a spray tech. Jeff was fresh out of Colorado State University having completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape & Horticulture Technologies with an emphasis in Turf when he was hired at Pelican Lakes. Jeff was born in Austin, Texas, and moved to Fort Collins in 1996 from Boca Raton, FL to attend Fort Collins High School and CSU. While in college Jeff worked on the maintenance staff at Boomerang Links in Greeley. Jeff and his wife Cinda have two daughters, Allie and Collins, and when he’s not working he enjoys playing golf, touring breweries and hanging out with the family.
Tyson Schalock, Assistant Golf Professional
Tyson is the newest professional in the Pelican Lakes pro shop. He and his wife Christine, along with their two young children, Braden and Taylor, relocated to Windsor in 2015 from Coeur d’Alene, ID. Tyson has worked and organized tournaments in Palm Springs, Cabo San Lucas and the Bahamas, and before moving to Windsor was the head professional at Gozzer Ranch Golf Club, the 27 th rated course in the country by Golf Digest. Tyson is a Class A PGA Professional and is certified through the Titleist Performance Institute.
Kenny Anderson, Director of Player Development
The 2017 season will be Kenny Anderson’s 30 th as a golf professional. The native of Greeley, CO is the Director of Player Development at Pelican Lakes and began his career in 1987 as an assistant golf professional at Whispering Palms Golf & Country Club in San Diego. After a short stint as an assistant at Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach, CA, Kenny returned to his hometown in 1991 as an assistant at Highland Hills Golf Club. Upon receiving his Class A certification from the PGA in 1993, Kenny became the Head Golf Professional at the newly opened Boomerang Golf Links in Greeley. In 2007 Kenny ventured to Greeley Valley Ranch Golf Club and in a few short years became the head pro. He established himself at Pelican Lakes in 2014. Kenny and wife Kara have two children, Haley and Koby. Kenny is the current head coach of the Windsor High School boys’ and girls’ golf programs, and coached the 2018 girls’ team to the Class 4A state championship.
Doug Hammond, First Assistant Golf Professional
Doug Hammond is the longest tenured employee at Pelican Lakes. The first assistant golf professional has worked in the pro shop since 2004 when he began as a seasonal employee. Doug’s primary responsibility is organizing the member and public tournament schedules, as well as the 192-person Thursday Night Men’s League, which is believed to be the largest west of the Mississippi River. The native of Draper, SD, Doug and his wife Susan, along with their four boys – Kyle, Garrett, Jake and Justin – moved to Windsor in 1999. Doug has coached the Windsor High School boys’ and girls’ golf teams, and spent five years as the school’s junior varsity boys’ basketball coach.
